We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Marketing Manager to lead marketing strategy, event programming, tenant collaboration, and community engagement for a retail center. This role is responsible for driving brand visibility, foot traffic, and customer engagement through creative campaigns, partnerships, and experiential events. The expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $85,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Marketing Manager to lead marketing strategy, event programming, tenant collaboration, and community engagement for a retail center. This role is responsible for driving brand visibility, foot traffic, and customer engagement through creative campaigns, partnerships, and experiential events. The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-focused, comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, vendors, and projects at once.
Marketing Strategy & Campaigns
- Develop and execute center-wide marketing plans that drive traffic, engagement, and sales.
- Plan and launch consumer promotions, advertising, digital campaigns, and community-focused initiatives.
- Proactively generate new marketing ideas, channels, and creative concepts.
- Create and manage social media content, promotions, contests, and giveaways in partnership with external vendors.
- Write and distribute retailer communications including newsletters, memos, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Send out newsletters in Mall Maverick weekly/biweekly.
- Oversee marketing administration, including budgets, timelines, vendor coordination, and ordering supplies.
Events, Programming & Talent
- Plan, produce, and execute onsite events and experiential programming.
- Identify, vet, and book entertainment and talent aligned with event themes and brand standards.
- Manage contracts, payments, schedules, and day-of event logistics.
- Coordinate event setup, breakdown, layouts, and operations with maintenance and security teams.
- Attend and support events to ensure seamless execution and positive guest experiences.
Tenant & Community Partnerships
- Build strong relationships with tenants to support co-branded promotions, grand openings, and in-store events.
- Encourage and manage tenant participation in center-wide marketing initiatives.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with community organizations, nonprofits, chambers of commerce, and local businesses.
- Represent the center at community and chamber meetings to strengthen visibility and partnership opportunities.
Reporting & Analytics
- Track and analyze marketing, event, and campaign performance using tools such as PlacerAI, website analytics, and social media reports.
- Prepare and present monthly marketing performance recaps to ownership, including data insights, visuals, and photography.
- Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to inform strategy.
Special Projects
- Manage marketing-related projects such as common area enhancements and asset upgrades.
- Coordinate with designers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to evaluate options and present recommendations for approval.

Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing or event management. Previous experience in a retail, shopping center or hospitality environment a plus.
- Budget, organization, and project management skills to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in managing digital/social media platforms.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator as well as MailChimp and HubSpot a plus.
